Electric Scooters
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
GSI Commerce Solutions is recalling Spartan Sports electric scooters, models FS-101 and FS-102, due to two safety hazards. A knob on the handlebar can loosen and cause the handlebar to detach from the scooter, and on the FS-101 model, the folding joint lock can break, allowing the handlebars to release from the upright position. Either condition can cause riders to lose control and fall. The scooters are powered by 250-watt electric motors, made of steel, and come in black or blue with a black kickplate. Model numbers appear in the user's manual rather than on the product itself.
According to the recall notice, consumers who own these scooters should stop using them and contact GSI Commerce Solutions to receive a free repair kit.
