What happened

Robert Bosch Tool Corp. is recalling Bosch-brand abrasive cut-off wheels because they lack correct speed rating labels. When used at the labeled speed rating, these wheels can burst and potentially injure the user or bystanders. The recalled wheels include various sizes and types: 12-inch wheels in catalog numbers 2610917994 through 2610918006 intended for different materials and machines, and smaller wheels in catalog numbers 2610918009 through 2610918017 ranging from 2-1/2 inches to 4 inches in diameter. The 12-inch wheels can be identified by an expiration date stamped in the metal center ring of "V 6/2007" or earlier (expiration dates of "V 7/2007" and later are not recalled), while smaller wheels bearing "Made in Bulgaria" are affected, though replacement wheels marked "made in Canada" are safe.

According to the recall notice, consumers who have these wheels should stop using them immediately and contact Bosch for instructions on returning the wheels and obtaining replacements.
