Predator 500 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs)
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Polaris Industries is recalling certain Predator 500 ATVs from model years 2003 and 2004 due to a defect in the front brake lines. The affected brake lines can crack and leak brake fluid, which may cause a loss of braking capability and could result in severe injury or death. The recall applies to eight specific model numbers: A03GJ50AA, A03GJ50AB, A03GJ50AS, A03GJ50CA, A04GJ50AA, A04GJ50AB, A04GJ50AC, and A04GJ50AD. You can identify a recalled ATV by looking for the model number on the lower left frame tube ahead of the engine and checking for "Predator" displayed prominently on the right and left side of the front cab covering the fuel tank. The ATVs come in red, blue, gray, or black front and rear cabs.
If you own an affected ATV, you should contact your Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment for a free inspection and repair of the brake lines.
