The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Nikko America are recalling radio-control toy trucks due to a circuit board defect that causes overheating, creating fire and burn hazards. The recalled trucks are approximately 18-inch-long 1/10 scale models of the Chevy Avalanche (model 100021A), Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (models 100022A and 100022B), Hummer Wagon (models 100023A and 100023B), and Ford F150 (models 100024A and 100024B). These trucks were manufactured between April 2003 and January 2004. Model numbers can be found printed on the body of the truck along with the vehicle name.
Consumers who own these recalled toy trucks should stop using them immediately and contact Nikko America for instructions on how to return the product for a free circuit board replacement.
