Emerson Tool Company is recalling Craftsman 16-gallon and RIDGID 12- and 16-gallon wet/dry vacuums due to a laceration hazard. The exhaust blower ports on these vacuums have openings large enough for a small child to reach inside and touch the spinning blower wheel, which can cause cuts or lacerations.

To remedy the hazard, consumers with affected vacuums should contact Emerson's toll-free number to request a free insert that is installed inside the blower port to eliminate the risk. The recall covers specific model numbers and serial number ranges for both the RIDGID and Craftsman brands.
