Pool Heaters
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Hayward Pool Products Inc. is recalling all H-Series ED2 natural-draft pool heaters due to a defective circuit board in the control bezel assembly. The malfunctioning circuit board can prevent the heater from igniting properly, which allows gas to accumulate inside the heater cover. If the accumulated gas ignites with a delay, it can cause a fire or explosion that may result in property damage and personal injuries.
According to the recall, consumers should immediately shut off the affected pool heater by switching off its circuit breaker. Consumers should then contact Hayward Pool Products Inc. to schedule a free installation of a replacement control module.
