Ceiling Fans
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Fanimation ceiling fans are being recalled because the hanger bracket that holds the fan to the ceiling can break, potentially causing the fan to fall and injure people below. The recall affects three fan series: the Islander (model FP320, date codes 01-00 through 03-02), the Louvre (model FP1320, date codes 01-00 through 03-02), and the Tropicana (model FP1600, date codes 12-01 through 04-02). You can find your fan's model number and date code on the manufacturer's sticker located just above the motor.
To determine if your fan is affected, check the model number and date code on your fan's sticker. If your fan matches one of the recalled models and date codes, you should stop using it immediately and contact Fanimation to receive a free backup bracket. The company will send the bracket at no charge, and installation is described as easy and will not require you to disconnect the fan or remove the existing bracket.
