Eastman Kodak Company is recalling DC5000-model digital cameras due to a manufacturing defect that can cause electrical shock to consumers using the cameras. The affected cameras are identified by the model number "DC5000 Zoom Digital Camera" printed on the front bottom right corner and a product identifier plate on the bottom reading "KJCAA" followed by a serial number between 01800001 and 11700825. Only the DC5000 model is included in this recall; no other Kodak cameras are affected.
Consumers with a recalled DC5000 camera should immediately stop using it and contact Kodak. Kodak will cover the full cost of inspection, repairs, and shipping to and from their repair centers. To obtain a postage-paid mailer to return the camera or for additional information, consumers should contact Kodak directly.

These are Kodak DC5000-model cameras. The brand name and model number are written on the front of the camera at the bottom right-hand corner. All DC5000 cameras carry a plate on the bottom of the camera containing the Kodak product identifier reading "KJCAA" followed by an eight-digit serial number. The serial number range is 01800001 through 11700825. This recall includes the DC5000 model only. No other Kodak cameras are affected by this recall.
