NEXT Ultra Shock bicycles sold at Wal-Mart are being recalled because their forks can break apart, potentially causing riders to lose control, fall, and suffer serious injury. The recall applies only to blue bicycles with model numbers 8524-14 or 8526-20 that were manufactured between April 1999 and November 9, 1999. You can identify a recalled bicycle by checking the label on the frame near the crank housing for the model number and manufacturing date, and by looking for "Ultra Shock" written in white lettering on the down tube. Bicycles manufactured after November 9, 1999, are not subject to this recall.
Consumers with recalled bicycles should stop using them immediately and call Dynacraft Industries for information on receiving a free replacement fork and free installation.

Next Ultra Shock bicycles manufactured after November 9, 1999, did not use BY US International-made Ballistic forks, and are not subject to this recall.
