Northridge 2000 Earthquake Valves
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Seismic Safety Products Inc. is recalling Northridge 2000 Earthquake Valves because they can stick in the open position, allowing gas to flow freely. This poses a risk of serious injury from fire and explosion during an earthquake. The recalled valves are aluminum with blue coating, approximately 3-1/2 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches high by 2 inches deep, and feature a white reset knob labeled "Northridge 2000 Valve" on the front and a white label on the back indicating the model (M75 or M100), ASCE 25-97, RR#5370, CSA-OSA, and 2 PSI Max Gas Flow. These valves were manufactured in the United States.
Consumers who own a recalled valve should contact Seismic Safety Products immediately to have their shut-off valve replaced free of charge.
