Vermont Precision Woodworks cribs
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Vermont Precision Woodworks has recalled five models of full-size solid maple cribs: the 7010 Alpine, 7020 Caspian, 7030 Coventry, 7040 Dunmore, and 7070 Haystack, available in natural, colonial, white, cherry, and cinnamon finishes. The cribs were manufactured in the USA, and a label on the bottom identifies them as Vermont Precision Woodworks products along with the manufacturing date and model name. The slats on these cribs can loosen and detach from the drop side rail, creating a large opening where a child's head or neck could become entrapped, posing a risk of serious injury or death.
The recalled cribs failed testing for structural integrity under ASTM voluntary standards for full-size baby cribs. Vermont Precision Woodworks is providing consumers with replacement drop side rails and has revised the assembly procedure for these replacement rails to comply with the ASTM standard. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs until the replacement rails are installed.
