What happened

Dillard's, Inc. and the CPSC have announced a recall of Pine Tree Candles due to a fire hazard. The candles can collapse during use, causing the flame to spread and ignite the decorative glitter and paint on the candles, which poses a fire risk. The recalled candles are shaped like pine trees and come in two sizes: a tall version measuring approximately 9½ inches tall by 6 inches wide, and a short version measuring approximately 8 inches tall by 5½ inches wide. Both candles have a "Noble Excellence" label on the side.

To identify recalled candles, consumers should look for a sticker on the bottom of the candle reading either "127CD109" (tall candle) or "127CD108" (short candle). According to the recall notice, affected consumers should stop using these candles immediately and return them to any Dillard's store for a full refund.
