What happened

Porter-Cable portable gasoline generators with model number BSI550-W and date code "09-10-01" are being recalled because a small hole in the fuel tank where it mounts to the frame can leak fuel and create a fire hazard. The recalled generators are red with a black fuel tank and have "Porter-Cable" printed on the fuel tank. Only generators with the specific date code "09-10-01" are affected by this recall.

Consumers who own one of these generators should stop using it immediately and contact DeVilbiss Air Power Co. to arrange for a free replacement fuel tank.
