Winstar International, Inc. is recalling miniature Christmas light sets containing 100 lights per string in various colors (green, blue, red, yellow, purple, and clear). The lights have undersized wiring and lack over-current protection, creating electrocution, electric shock, and fire hazards. The affected lights have plugs marked "125V-3A" and come in red boxes labeled "JUEGO DE LUCES DE NAVIDAD," "100 MINIATURE LIGHTS," "FIVE-WAY FLASHER," "PRE-TESTED," and "ENERGY SAVER," with no independent testing laboratory mark on the lights themselves.
According to the recall notice, consumers who own these Christmas lights should stop using them immediately and return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund.
