Novelty and disposable cigarette lighters
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Penda New York is recalling novelty cigarette lighters that lack child-resistant mechanisms required by federal law. The recalled lighters include plastic models shaped like a BMW toy car, Coke bottle, Budweiser beer can, fire extinguisher, and telephone pager—some with flashing lights and keychains—as well as flat, silver-colored metal disposable lighters measuring 2.75 inches long, 1 inch wide, and .25 inch thick. All affected lighters bear a "MADE IN CHINA" label.
Without child-resistant safety features, young children could ignite these lighters, creating fire and burn hazards. According to the recall, affected consumers should stop using these lighters immediately and return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
