SHOlights aquarium lights
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Perfecto Manufacturing Inc. has recalled SHOlight aquarium lights due to safety hazards. The plastic bodies of these lights, which come in black or oak colors and measure 24, 30, 36, or 48 inches long, may have sharp edges that can damage the wire insulation. If wires become exposed, consumers face risks of electrical shock, electrocution, or fire. Additionally, some of these lights may overheat, creating the same dangers.
The recall applies to all 36-inch SHOlights with two bulbs and all SHOlights manufactured in July 1999 or earlier. The manufacturing date can be found on a white label attached to the metal reflector, which displays an anchor symbol and includes "cleaned by" or "built by" followed by the date. If no label is present or the date cannot be read, the product is considered part of the recall. According to the recall notice, consumers should stop using the lights immediately, unplug them, and return them to Perfecto for a free replacement.
