  • Brand Schiller Grounds Care, Inc., of Johnson Creek, Wisc.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Bob-Cat zero turn mowers in the CRZ and XRZ model lines are subject to a recall due to a steering control arm component that can break during normal use, potentially causing the driver to lose control and crash. The affected mowers range from 48 to 61 inches in length and are identifiable by their green steel mower deck, black metal frame, red "Bob Cat" lettering, and white "TufDeck" and "Professional Cut" text on the front. Six specific model numbers are affected, with particular serial number ranges for each size variant, and the model and serial number can be found on a plate located under the seat on the frame cross-member.

Consumers who own affected mowers should return them to the dealer where purchased for a free repair, during which a newly designed control arm component will be installed. Consumers who completed the warranty registration card have been contacted directly by Schiller Grounds Care, Inc. with repair instructions; those who have not been contacted should contact their dealer or Schiller Grounds Care, Inc. to arrange the repair.
