Comfort Research has recalled vinyl bean bag chairs filled with polystyrene because their exterior zippers can be opened by children, who may then crawl inside and become entrapped, suffocate, or choke on the foam beads. The recalled chairs are round and measure either 88 or 98 inches in diameter, and come in colors including black, hot pink, lime, purple, royal blue, and ruby red, as well as patterns featuring baseballs, basketballs, footballs, and soccer balls. Affected chairs have a tag sewn into the cover seam that reads "Made By Comfort Research" and "100% Polystyrene."
Consumers who own these recalled bean bag chairs should immediately remove them from children's access and contact Comfort Research for instructions on how to permanently disable the zipper.
