Excel Industries is recalling BigDog and Hustler brand riding mowers because the seat switch can fail to detect when a rider has left the seat, which allows the mower to continue operating and creates a risk of injury. The serial number can be found on a tag on the left side of the seat platform in front of the fender.
According to the recall notice, consumers should stop using the mower immediately and contact their dealer to schedule an appointment for a free seat repair.
