Ace Hardware is recalling the Ace Clamp-On LED Work Light because the cord bushing inside the light base may fail, allowing the cord wiring to pull out of the base. This exposes bare wire, creating a shock and fire hazard. The recalled light is 3 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep and 2.25 inches high, featuring a silver plastic lamp head with black rubber sides and eight LED lights, a black cube-shaped base, a 6-foot black cord, and a silver clamp with black rubber grips. The units are marked with model number "DC004" and date code "08/13" on the back of the light base.
According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled clamp lights and return them to their local Ace Hardware store for a full refund.
