Bean bag chairs
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ace Bayou bean bag chairs with openable zippers pose a suffocation and choking hazard to children. The chairs have two zippers that can be unzipped—one on the exterior cover and another directly underneath it—allowing children to crawl inside, become trapped, and either suffocate or choke on the foam beads. Two deaths have been reported in connection with this hazard. The recalled chairs come in various styles, including round chairs measuring 30, 32, or 40 inches in diameter and L-shaped chairs measuring 18 by 30 by 30 inches, in multiple colors and fabrics.
Consumers who own affected Ace Bayou bean bag chairs should check whether their zippers can open. If the zippers open, consumers should immediately remove the chair away from children and contact Ace Bayou for a free repair kit that permanently disables the zippers so they cannot be opened.
