CoScentrix has recalled 4-ounce DD branded candles sold in round metal tins with metal lids at Hobby Lobby stores. The candles, which come in 35 different fragrances and colors, pose a fire hazard because the high flame can ignite the surface of the wax and the polymer coating on the tin-plated container. The recalled candles are single-wick candles measuring 2.75 inches wide by 2 inches high, with a "DD" logo embossed on the metal lid and the fragrance name printed on a label on the outside of the tin. Specific SKU numbers and batch numbers (14070 through 14178) are listed in the recall to help consumers identify affected products.
According to the record, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled candles and return them to the nearest Hobby Lobby store. Consumers who have a receipt will receive a full refund, while those without a receipt will receive store credit.
