Tern Folding Bicycles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Stile Products is recalling six models of Tern brand adult folding bicycles—the Link Uno, Link D7i, Link D8, Link P9, Link P7i, and Link P24h—because the frame can crack at the hinge on the top tube, which poses a fall hazard. The recalled bikes were sold in various color combinations including black/blue, black/green, black/gray, black/red, dark gray/light gray, gray/orange, and white/pink. Affected bicycles have serial numbers beginning with AI1133 through AI1137 or AI1149 through AI1213 stamped on the bottom bracket shell, or consumers can check the alphanumeric service tag number on the front of the seat tube using the firm's website to determine if their bike is affected.
Consumers who own a recalled bicycle should immediately stop using it and contact Stile Products or take the bike to an authorized dealer. Stile Products will provide affected consumers with either a free replacement frame installed at no cost or the option to upgrade to one of three designated models for an additional cost.
