What happened

Wolf Steel is recalling Napoleon brand propane gas fireplaces, specifically model numbers GD3200-P (flush glass front) and GD3200B-P (bay window). These black fireplaces are approximately 33 inches tall and 31.25 inches wide with gold accent designs on the top and bottom. The recall is due to a hazard where pressure from propane gas ignition can cause the glass front to break, which poses a risk of lacerations to consumers.

If you own one of the recalled fireplaces, you should stop using it immediately. Contact your local Napoleon Fireplace Hearth Dealer to arrange a service call for a free upgrade kit installation. A qualified gas appliance technician must install the upgrade kit. You can locate your model number on the rating label, which is found on the fireplace's base behind the lower louvered access door.
