What happened

Weil-McLain is recalling Ultra series gas-fired boilers in models 80, 105, 155, and 230 MBH used for space heating. The recalled boilers have serial numbers between CP 6557046 and CP 6955985. These boilers have a cracked manifold cap that can release gas into the home, creating a fire and explosion hazard. The boilers can be identified by their Weil-McLain logo plate, pewter or flat black cover, and freestanding or wall-mounted configuration. Model and serial numbers are located on a bar-coded label on the lower right side of the boiler behind the removable front panel.

Consumers with recalled boilers should immediately stop using them and turn off the gas supply. They should then contact Weil-McLain to schedule a free inspection and repair.
