Welbilt toaster ovens with model number TR660 are being recalled due to serious safety hazards. These white and black ovens, approximately 17 inches wide and 12 inches high with a glass door, can experience broken heating elements that cause the glass door to shatter. The ovens may also short circuit, creating risks of electrical shock and fire. The affected model has "WELBILT® Toaster Oven With Rotisserie & Griddle" printed on the lower-right front and features three knobs on the right side controlling temperature, function settings (broil, rotisserie, toast, bake), and timer.
Because the manufacturer is no longer in business, no recall remedy is available. Consumers who own this toaster oven should discard the product and must not donate it or attempt to resell it.
