  • Brand Bebe Love USA, of Pico Rivera, Calif.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

BebeLove is recalling baby walkers in two models—358 and 368—sold for babies age 6 months or older due to serious safety hazards. Model 358 walkers can fit through standard doorways and lack a mechanism to stop at stairs, violating federal safety requirements. Model 368 walkers have leg openings that allow children to slip through until their heads become entrapped at the neck. Both types of walkers have plastic-covered foam padded seats with plastic bases and toy trays, and can be identified by the "BEBELOVE" label on the seat back and base, along with the model number on a label at the rear bottom inside the base.

The recalled walkers come in specific color combinations: Model 358 includes pink, blue, or green bases with white musical trays and white toy bars, while Model 368 includes blue, pink, or purple bases with yellow, white, or pink musical trays and yellow toy bars. All recalled walkers have white stoppers on the bottom of the base. According to the recall, consumers should stop using the walkers immediately and contact BebeLove for a free repair kit.

Hazard

The walkers failed to meet federal safety standards. Specifically, style number 358 can fit through a standard doorway and is not designed to stop at the edge of a step as required by the federal safety standard. In addition, style number 368 contains leg openings that allow the child to slip down until the child's head can become entrapped at the neck. Babies using these walkers can be seriously injured or killed.

What should I do?
