What happened

Cannondale is recalling all 2013 model year Slice RS bikes, which include the Black Edition, Ultegra, and Ultegra Di2 models sold as complete bicycles or framesets. The recalled bikes have distinctive brake systems mounted behind the front fork and under the chainstay. The Black Edition models are black with green "Cannondale" lettering on the top tube, while the Ultegra and Ultegra Di2 models are white with red trim and black "Cannondale" lettering on the down tube.

The brake plates on these bicycles can loosen and break, which creates a fall hazard for riders. An affected consumer should immediately stop using the recalled bicycle and return it to a Cannondale retailer for a free repair. In addition to the repair, Cannondale will provide a free Terramo helmet and Classic Jersey. Cannondale is contacting affected customers directly.
