LSI has recalled model GS025 wind speed sensors with serial numbers 100015 and 100412 because the sensors can fail to display accurate data readings. This malfunction could cause crane operators and other users to incorrectly assess wind conditions, creating a risk of injury from impact. The charcoal-grey sensors are 7 inches high and can be identified by "LSI" printed on one side and three windspeed cups on top, with the model and serial numbers located on the underside of the base.
According to the recall, affected consumers should stop using the wind speed sensors and contact LSI for instructions on returning the sensor for a replacement unit. LSI is contacting known customers directly.
