What happened

Polaris is recalling 2013 Pro-RMK 600 and 800 snowmobiles because a bolt attaching the front, lower left shock can fail, causing the operator to lose control of the vehicle and creating a serious hazard of injury or death. The affected snowmobiles come in red, white, and black with "Pro-RMK" markings on the hood sides, engine size or edition information on the upper hood, numbers "155" or "163" on the rear tunnel, and "Polaris" on the seat sides. The specific model numbers involved are 600 PRO RMK 155 (S13CG6GSA), 800 PRO RMK 163 (S13CH8GSA), and 800 PRO RMK 163 ES (S13CH8GSL), with the model and serial numbers located on the right side of the tunnel below the seat.

The recall involves 2013 Polaris Pro-RMK 600 and 800 snowmobiles. The snowmobiles come in red, white and black. "Pro-RMK" is on the lower right and left sides of the hood. The engine size and the letters "ES" or the words "Limited Edition" are on the upper right and left sides of the hood. The numbers "155" or "163" are on the rear of the tunnel.
