What happened

Vitamix is recalling 64-ounce Low-Profile blender containers that can have blades that break, potentially causing cuts to users. The affected containers have blade part number 103208 A with date codes from March 2012 through July 2013, which are laser etched on top of the blade at the bottom of the container. These clear plastic containers with black handles and lids were sold with specific Vitamix blender models (7500, Professional Series 300, and Professional Series 750) and as individual replacements.

Consumers who have a recalled container should stop using it immediately and contact Vitamix for instructions on returning the container for a free repair. The replacement blade with part number 104602 A is not affected by this recall.
