Paddywax Recalls Fragrance Diffusers Due to Violation of the FHSA Labeling Requirements

Is my product affected?

Paddywax Fragrance Diffusers

  • Brand Paddywax LLC, of Franklin, Tenn.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Paddywax is recalling certain fragrance diffusers because their labels fail to disclose the presence of petroleum distillates, which violates federal labeling requirements. The recalled products include ECO Blood Orange with Bergamot, ECO Grapefruit with Coriander, and RELISH Ocean Tide with Sea Salt diffusers. These diffusers are sold in tan cylinder-shaped containers approximately 11 inches high and 2¾ inches in diameter with a printed "Paddywax" label and fragrance name on the front, and include a green or blue glass vase with evaporating diffuser sticks. Petroleum distillates pose an aspiration hazard if swallowed.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled diffusers and keep them away from children and pets. Affected consumers should contact Paddywax for instructions on returning unopened containers and disposing of opened containers in exchange for a replacement product.

Hazard

The label on the diffusers violates the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA) by omitting the presence of petroleum distillates. Petroleum distillates pose an aspiration hazard if swallowed.

What should I do?

Consumers should immediately stop using the diffusers and move out of reach of children and pets. Contact Paddywax for instructions on returning unopened containers and disposal of opened containers to receive a replacement product.
