What happened

Jerdon Style has recalled model CM12B one-cup coffeemakers with date code 1217 due to a fire and burn hazard. These black coffeemakers brew eight to 12-ounce cups and feature an oval red indicator light above the on/off switch, with "FIRST CLASS" and "JERDON" printed in white letters on the front. The model and date code can be found on a nameplate on the bottom of the unit. The coffeemakers can overheat, creating a risk of fire and burns to users.

If you own one of these recalled coffeemakers, you should immediately stop using it and unplug it from the wall. You should then contact Jerdon Style for instructions on how to obtain a full refund.
