  • Brand Bexco Enterprises Inc., dba Million Dollar Baby of Montebello, Calif.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Million Dollar Baby four-drawer dressers in "Emily" style (model numbers M4712, M4722, M4732, and M4742) and "Ryan" style (model M4733) are being recalled because they can tip over if a young child climbs on the open drawers, posing a risk of entrapment. Two toddler deaths have been reported. The recalled dressers measure 33 inches high by 40 inches wide by 20 inches deep, are made from pine and wood composite, and were sold in five finishes: Cherry, Ebony, Espresso, Honey Oak, and White. The model number and "MADE IN TAIWAN" marking appear on a label on the back of the dresser.

Consumers should immediately stop using the dresser and keep it out of a child's reach. Bexco is offering a free retrofit kit containing a wall anchor strap that attaches the dresser to the wall to help prevent tipping. Consumers can order the kit by visiting www.themdbfamily.com/safety2 and clicking on Safety HQ, or by calling (888) 673-6652 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
