Dolan Northwest is recalling Burien model floor lamps that were manufactured between November 2010 and September 2012. These lamps are approximately 72 inches tall and feature four individual light sockets with white glass shades on top of four tubes of varying lengths, available in stainless steel and bronze finishes. The on/off foot switch on these lamps can fail and melt, creating shock and fire hazards.
Affected consumers should immediately stop using and unplug the recalled lamp. Consumers who purchased their lamp in a store should return it to the store for repair, where the on/off foot switch will be replaced with a new plug and dimmer. Consumers who purchased the lamp online should contact Dolan NW for a replacement lamp. To identify if your lamp is affected, check the label affixed to the underside of the base for model number 1117 and a manufacture date in YYYY.MM format.
