What happened

Muddy Outdoors has recalled climbing sticks used for tree climbing due to a risk that they can break, potentially causing serious injury or death. The recalled sticks are 20-inch black devices with tree cleats and fold-out steps on each end, secured to trees with a black and burnt orange rope fastened by a cam cleat. They have single metal tab tree cleats and bear model number 70401 or 70404 on the packaging. The sticks were sold individually or in packs of four.

If you own these climbing sticks, you should immediately stop using them and return them to Muddy Outdoors for either a refund or a free replacement product.
