What happened

Tricam Industries has recalled Easy Reach by Gorilla Ladders 3-Step Pro Series step stools, model number HB3-PRO, which were sold exclusively at The Home Depot. The top step or standing platform on these step stools can break, creating a fall hazard. The step stools feature three plastic steps, a steel tubular frame, and a plastic-molded tool holder, with a weight capacity of 225 lbs. The model number can be found on a blue label on the underside of the middle step. Affected units have a "J" stamped into the underside of the top step and/or the underside of the tool holder.

Consumers who own recalled step stools should stop using them immediately and contact Tricam Industries for a full refund.
