What happened

Trend Lab is recalling children's upholstered toddler chairs in Club and Mod styles because staples in the binding on the back of the chair may come loose, creating a laceration hazard or a choking hazard if swallowed. The recalled chairs are 24 inches wide by 18 inches tall by 17 inches deep and were produced between October 2007 and August 2012, as indicated by date codes TL1007C through TL0812C found on a label on the bottom of the chair. The Club style chairs come in suede (brown, pink, avocado green, red, or turquoise blue), velour (blue, green, pink, or red), or print fabric (chocolate dot on pink or blue). The Mod style chairs come in dark pink or zebra-printed velour (chocolate on blue or pink) or printed fabric (chocolate stripes on pink or blue). Chairs stamped with "Remedy 2012" are not affected.

Consumers who own a recalled chair should immediately remove it from children's access and inspect the binding. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should contact Trend Lab to obtain a repair kit with instructions. The matching ottomans sold with these chairs are not part of the recall.
