Kawasaki USA Recalls Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles Due to Injury, Death Hazard

Is my product affected?

Teryx Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Kawasaki is recalling 2012 model year Teryx 750 FI recreational off-highway vehicles because they have incorrect labeling on the occupant capacity. The vehicles are labeled as safe for more occupants than they actually are, and operating them with more people than safe creates a risk of injury or death. The affected vehicles are four-wheel, side-by-side models with automobile-style controls, available in green, red, grey, silver, black, and camouflage colors. You can identify the specific model type by checking the hood of your vehicle.

Kawasaki will mail affected consumers a replacement glove compartment cover with the correct occupant capacity information. Consumers can install the replacement cover themselves using included instructions, or they can contact their Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free installation appointment.

Hazard

The recalled products have been incorrectly labeled as having a higher occupant capacity than is safe. Operating the vehicle with additional occupants creates an injury or death hazard.

What should I do?

Consumers will receive a replacement glove compartment cover stating the correct occupant capacity in the mail. They can install it themselves with included instructions or contact their Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free installation.
