What happened

HeathCo is recalling Heath/Zenith 270° Motion Security Lights (model SL-5414-WH) sold exclusively at Home Depot. The lights are white, wall-mounted outdoor fixtures with two cone-shaped bulb receptacles and a rectangular motion sensor that activates the light when motion is detected at night. The internal wiring can become damaged during installation, bulb replacement, or adjustment, creating an electrical shock hazard.

If you own this product, you should immediately stop using it and turn off power to the unit at your circuit breaker or fuse panel. Contact HeathCo to receive a free replacement light fixture.

This recall involves Heath®/Zenith 270° Motion Security Lights with model number SL-5414-WH. It replaces a standard outdoor wall mounted light fixture and is designed to turn on when motion is detected at night. The product has two cone-shaped lightbulb receptacles attached to a round mounting plate. A small, rectangular motion sensor is attached to the mounting plate between the lightbulb receptacles. The unit is made of aluminum and plastic. It comes in white only. The brand name and model number are on a label located on the back of the motion sensor.
