The Consumer Product Safety Commission and World Industries have announced a recall of skateboard helmets that failed required safety impact testing. These helmets, which come in black, blue, and white with "World Industries" printed on the chin strap, back, and inside padding, do not provide adequate protection from falls. The helmets feature yellow and blue cartoon characters on the sides and contain labels stating "Certified CPSC 16CFR1203" and "Warning This Helmet Is Not For Motor Vehicle" along with "Made in China."
According to the recall notice, consumers should stop using these helmets immediately and return them to the stores where they were purchased for a full refund.
