Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

California Innovations is recalling Cryofreeze and Arctic Zone gel ice packs because the pouches can leak if damaged, potentially releasing gel containing diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol. Ingestion of large amounts of these chemicals can cause illness. The recalled products are gel-filled plastic pouches with either transparent or opaque wrappers used to keep food hot or cold, sold separately and with lunch boxes, coolers, and thermal carriers. Six gel pack styles are included: Cryofreeze ice/hot packs in small (6 inches wide by 5.5 inches high) and large (8.5 inches wide by 8 inches high) sizes with opaque blue wrappers; Cryofreeze Transparent Cell ice/hot packs in three styles with transparent wrappers, including a 3-cell rectangular pack (7.85 inches wide by 5.5 inches high), a 3-cell square pack (7.6 inches wide by 3 inches high), and a 2-cell square pack (5 inches wide by 3 inches high); and an Arctic Zone ice pack (6.25 inches wide by 4 inches high) with an opaque blue wrapper.

According to the record, consumers should immediately stop using the gel packs and dispose of them according to federal, state, and local regulations by contacting their local waste disposal authority for instructions. Consumers can contact California Innovations to receive a $6 cash refund for large Cryofreeze gel packs or a $5 cash refund for all other gel packs.
