What happened

Select Brands is recalling Kitchen Selectives® 6-Speed Blenders, model BL-15, due to a laceration hazard. During operation, the plastic pitcher can separate from the blade assembly, which remains in the base with its rotating blades exposed. This creates a risk of laceration to consumers. The recalled blender has a six-inch white electrical base with five speed-selector buttons (labeled 1-5) and one gray Pulse/Off button, a clear plastic pitcher with volume markings, a white plastic lid with removable clear plastic stopper, and a white plastic blade assembly with two stainless steel blades. The model number is located on the bottom of the base.

Affected consumers should immediately stop using the blender and return it to the retailer where it was purchased to receive a full refund.

Hazard

While in operation, the plastic pitcher can separate from the blade assembly, leaving the blade assembly in the base and exposing the rotating blades. This poses a laceration hazard to consumers.
