Salsa Minimalist bicycle racks
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Salsa Cycles is recalling all Minimalist bicycle racks sold after January 2011. These racks are made of tubular aluminum in black or silver finish and can be installed on the front or rear of a bicycle. The recalled racks have steel mounting straps with a single center hole that attach to the bicycle fork. The problem is that these L-shaped mounting straps can break, causing the rack to fall while the bicycle is being ridden, which poses a fall hazard to the rider.
If you own one of these recalled bicycle racks, you should immediately remove it and contact an authorized Salsa dealer. The dealer will inspect the rack and either re-mount it or provide a refund.
