LaJolla Sport is recalling O'Neill Pluto brand boy's flannel long sleeve shirts with hoods because the drawstrings in the neck pose a strangulation hazard to children. The affected shirts are style "Pluto Flannel" (Style No. 41204106) and were sold in dark grey with horizontal black stripes in sizes small through extra large. The O'Neill label is sewn inside the back neck of the garment.
According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately remove the recalled sweatshirt from their child and remove the drawstring from the hooded flannel shirt to eliminate the hazard. The garment can then be returned to the place of purchase or to the company for a full refund.
