Consumer Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms
By using Plaintify Answers at plaintify.ai/answers, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Plaintify Answers is — and is not
Plaintify Answers is a free, anonymous tool that answers everyday legal questions in plain English, drawing on published Alabama, Florida, and federal law, and — for certain localities — published municipal ordinances and local government records.
At all times:
- Plaintify is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation.
- Nothing you receive from Plaintify Answers is legal advice or a legal opinion.
- Using this service does not create an attorney-client relationship with Plaintify or with any attorney.
- Information you submit is not protected by attorney-client privilege.
- Answers are general information about the law. They are not an assessment of your situation, a prediction of any outcome, or a valuation of any claim.
- The law changes, and how it applies depends on facts, evidence, deadlines, and local practice that this service cannot evaluate.
Always consult a licensed attorney before making any legal decision or taking legal action.
3. AI-generated content
Every answer is generated by artificial intelligence. Plaintify checks the legal citations in an answer against its own library of published cases, statutes, and ordinances, and removes any citation it cannot verify. That check confirms a source exists and says what the answer attributes to it. It does not confirm that the source is current, that it is the controlling authority, or that it applies to your situation. AI-generated content may contain errors and omissions, is not prepared by a licensed attorney, and must not be relied on as a substitute for legal advice.
Plaintify Answers does not state dollar amounts as an estimate of what any claim is worth. Where a figure appears, it comes from a cited source and describes that source's own facts.
4. Filing deadlines
5. Attorney introductions — no fee to you, and none to us
If you ask to be connected with an attorney, and you give explicit consent, Plaintify may share your name, contact information, and a summary of your question with participating law firms licensed in your state that handle that type of matter.
- There is no charge to you for an introduction.
- Plaintify receives no fee contingent on any attorney-client engagement, and no portion of any fee or recovery in your matter.
- Your information may be shared with more than one firm. Introductions are not exclusive.
- Plaintify does not endorse, rank, recommend, or vouch for any attorney or firm, and does not evaluate the quality of their work.
- No attorney is obligated to accept your matter, and no outcome is promised.
- Participating attorneys are independently licensed in the state(s) where they provide services and remain solely responsible for their own professional obligations to you.
- You may ask us to delete your information at any time — see section 7.
Introductions are only made when you affirmatively request one and check the consent box. Asking a question never shares your information with anyone.
6. Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Plaintify Answers. If you are under 18, we encourage you to involve a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult before acting on anything you read here, and you should not request an attorney introduction without their involvement.
7. Your information
Questions asked through Plaintify Answers are anonymous — we do not require an account, a name, or an email address to answer one. Details are in our Privacy Policy. In summary:
- Questions and answers are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically.
- Nothing you submit is protected by attorney-client privilege.
- Your contact information is shared with law firms only if you request an introduction and consent to it.
- You can delete your data at any time using the “Delete my data” link on the Answers page.
8. Where the service applies
Plaintify Answers covers Alabama and Florida law, together with federal law. Municipal ordinance coverage is limited to specific localities, and the Answers page lists the localities currently indexed. If your question concerns a place or a state we do not cover, the service will tell you so. Coverage may change over time.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use Plaintify Answers to seek help committing a crime or evading the law, to submit another person's confidential information without their permission, or to access the service by automated means, at volume, or in a way that interferes with its availability for others. We may limit or refuse access to protect the service.
10. No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Plaintify makes no warranty that the service will be accurate, complete, current, reliable, or free from errors, and no warranty that any answer reflects the controlling law applicable to your situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Plaintify LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or reliance on the service, including any answer, citation, or attorney introduction. Plaintify's total liability shall not exceed $100.
12. Dispute resolution
Any dispute arising from your use of Plaintify Answers is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to resolve disputes exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis, and you waive any right to bring a class action claim.
13. Changes to these Terms
Plaintify may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent change.
