What happened

Taylor Farms Florida is recalling approximately 732 pounds of American Style Pasta Salad with chicken due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The salads, produced on October 22-23, 2017, contain fish (anchovies) that is not declared on the label. Two specific products are affected: 9.75-ounce bowls with "USE BY 11/01/17" and case code TFFLD 295 L5 EA, and 9.75-ounce bowls with "USE BY 11/02/17" and case code TFFLD 296 L5 JP. The problem occurred because the products were filled with Caesar salad dressing instead of Bacon Ranch dressing; Caesar dressing contains anchovies. These items were distributed to retail locations in Florida and were discovered on October 26, 2017, after a consumer complaint. No confirmed illnesses have been reported.

Consumers who have purchased these products should not consume them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. Consumers with questions about the recall can contact the Taylor Farms Crisis Hotline at (855) 455-0098. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
