Hospira Inc. is recalling multiple lots of Carboplatin Injection and related chemotherapy medications (Cytarabine Injection, Methotrexate Injection, and Paclitaxel Injection) distributed nationwide and internationally due to visible particles embedded in the glass at the neck of the vials. The particles may become dislodged into the medication solution if the product comes into contact with them. Approximately 30,582 vials across multiple lot numbers with expiration dates ranging from February 2013 to November 2013 are affected.

There may be the potential for product to come into contact with the embedded particles and the particles may become dislodged into the solution.
