Abbott Laboratories is notifying customers that a small number of CardioMEMS Hospital Electronics Systems (Model CM3000) and Patient Electronics Systems (Model CM1100) may display an Error 5 message incorrectly due to a misconfigured component in the device electronics. While Error 5 is designed to appear when the electronics system temperature exceeds a certain threshold, affected units may produce this error message falsely.
