Tandem Diabetes Care Inc. is recalling approximately 31,100 t:slim X2 insulin pumps distributed across the US, US territories, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The pumps may experience one or more of the following issues: malfunction of non-volatile memory, inaccurate or fluctuating battery life display, touchscreen remaining on, or unexpected open loop operation. These malfunctions could potentially result in hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, or diabetic ketoacidosis. The issues can be addressed through a software update.
